…And I’ve only just realized!  Thought you guys might like to know what’s been happening.

As you may have guessed, Frankie & Melville are not likely to return.  To be honest, I was running out of ideas for them, and I’d written myself into a corner.  After a long, hard think, I started to concentrate on other projects.

I love webcomics, pure and simple, but I needed the right idea before I commit myself again.  That idea may be on the horizon, and it’s called “…”.  I’m not sure if it’s going to be a full webcomic, or an animated short, but I’m currently in pre-production.

I went through the comics this morning and cringed – I can’t believe how bad they are – so terribly drawn.  Take a look at my blog, and you’ll see just how far I’ve come as a cartoonist – funny how you’re constantly evolving.

You’ll have noticed that’s IT’S…ALIVE has not been updated in a while – that’s because real life issues have given me less time to cartoon, so Melville and Frankie are on vacation at the moment.  They may return one day – we’ll have to wait and see.  In the meantime, I’m still releasing cartoons at http://hypervox.blogspot.com and http://computersfortheover40s.blogspot.com – have a butchers.

Brush Pens again – Think I’m going to change brands…

On a more positive note, I’m now cartooning more frequently, as I’m trying to get a portfolio of good work together that I can put into my new website, currently in the planning stage.  In short, I’m going tot try and make some money from my cartoons, so I have to start promoting myself.  If you like ItsAlive, why not share it with your friends (by using the share button) or just tell them – Lord know I need all the help I can get…

This all came about from a quick sketch of Frankie I made whilst my daughter was swimming.  The artwork’s a bit off as I was experimenting with brush pens again…

Well,  my buffer has gone, so I give you instead, my latest entry for the Cartoonist’s Club of Great Britain’s Caption Competition.  What happens is, the previous winner sets a caption, which any member can draw a cartoon for – the members vote, and the winner chooses the caption for the next week.  It’s all a bit of fun!
